Twitter Reacts To Taylor Swift Teasing Collab With Phoebe Bridgers On Red

The singer deciphered the cryptic clues about her latest Taylor’s Version album

Swifties are ready: Taylor Swift has confirmed the 30-song tracklist for her upcoming Taylor’s Version album.

The Tennessee-born singer-songwriter will re-release Red next, her fourth studio album first published in 2012.

In a video posted yesterday (August 5), Swift hinted at some very special collaborations on Red via “casually cruel” anagrams.

Known for challenging her fans with hints and secret meanings, the singer later confirmed she has worked with the likes of Phoebe Bridgers and Ed Sheeran on her new album.

Taylor Swift And Phoebe Bridgers Will Duet On ‘Nothing New’

The singer already released Fearless (Taylor’s Version) earlier this year, the first of six albums she intends to re-record following the dispute regarding ownership of the masters to her first six studio albums.

Red will officially be next and see songwriter Phoebe Bridgers appearing on unreleased song, Nothing New.

“Taylor Swift ft. Phoebe Bridgers, a dream come true for the sad people,” a fan wrote on Twitter after working out the clues left by Swift.

"taylor swift and phoebe bridgers joining forces to give us the sad girl autumn we deserve sounds about right,” another fan tweeted.

Given Swift maintained center stage in her multiple collaborations with other artists, some fans are worried Bridgers won’t be given enough room to shine on the new song.

"HAIM running to warn Phoebe Bridgers that Taylor might only give her a few words to sing in the background,” another tweet reads.

“Phoebe Bridgers watching Taylor Swift sing the whole song from the back of the booth,” was another comment.

'Red (Taylor's Version)' Includes So Many Songs You Haven't Heard Yet

Red (Taylor's Version) will feature 30 songs total, including nine songs "from the vault".

“From the vault" tracks are the ones that never made it onto the final record. Swift is now releasing them together with the album they were supposed to be part of.

In April, the singer released Mr. Perfectly Fine, seemingly addressing her relationship with Joe Jonas. The song was originally meant to be on the tracklist for Fearless, but was later scrapped.

“I can’t wait to dust off our highest hopes & relive these memories together,” Swift said about her upcoming record in a tweet posted today (August 6).

“We’ll also be making a bunch of new ones too, since Red (Taylor’s Version) includes so many songs you haven’t heard yet. Till then, I’ll be counting down and picturing it all in my head. In burning red,” the singer added.

Red (Taylor’s Version) will be released on November 19, 2021
